I've been there for 6 months, I can see clearly there is a drive to be big in their culture from Partners, one thing is there genuinely is drive to look after employees. For example i finished a tough project and the Director in charge gave me the rest of the day off ( we finished at noon) Some peoole do push the culture hard and drink the koolaid, but ive not experienced any negative feedback for pushing back on some of their behaviours
Bad reviews piled up and then partners kindly asked Jr Analysts to post "appropriate" reviews?
They paid for that award, like everyone
Had an interview there a while back. Whole team was brilliant and I got through but I asked not to progress as the work they was doing at that time was more staff augmentation and PMO work (This was the FS space).
I recently interviewed someone from there and they told me a story of extreme disappointment in the firm and horrific culture… just one data point though
Not sure. Colleague told me their interview process is very strange. They gave her a task which didn’t require going into detail, then gave feedback that she didn’t have a good head for detail. Very odd because she’s known for being a detail person on our team. Seems a bit weird

Take with a big pinch of salt any reviews from Glassdoor (positive or negative). I never worked before at Baringa Partners but generally I heard good things about the company. They probably have their own issues, but which company does not have? In every place you will find some bad apples. Which role/area are you looking to join? They are particularly strong in the Energy & Utilities space
Thank you :) I’m looking to join the TOM team
OP - part of the recruitment process gives you chance to have a totally informal peer-to-peer chat to get a feel for what it’s really like. If interested, I found that far more reliable than Glassdoor - and the mixed themes in those reviews were also there 4-5 years ago as well.
And is Baringa perfect? No - we’re a people-focused and still-growing firm, which comes with challenges that everyone including all the Partners are actively facing into. Hard to believe I know, but it IS possible to create a successful consultancy firm performing at a high level that also genuinely cares about both its employees and its clients.
I heard from people working there that the culture there is actually amazing and there is a great emphasis on people
I have a friend who works there. Word “cult” mentioned by them on regular basis. If you like lots of socials (like ~2 a week), than it’s a place for you. It has its pros and cons as far as I understand. Probably, it’s much better to ask what is really important for you to understand if Baringa’s pros cover that. Just FYI - working weekends, evenings and mornings is a norm.
What I can say is that they have a HUGE chip on their shoulder regarding the MBBs. It almost consumes them (as clients have told us!)
That’s really interesting to hear BCG1, can you elaborate? Personally have never felt that at all over last 5 years, as usually play in adjacent spaces to MBB rather than overlapping. But tbf imagine attitudes might differ by sector.

The people in a cult think it’s great and say nice things. Those who escape the cult say bad things. I’ve heard both positive and negative points of view from clients. It’ probably no better or worse than a similar tier shop
Managed by ex Accenture and similar partners.
Help me understand the cult guys? I've worked here for 10 years. Turn up, do a good job, get paid better than big 4? Work with decent people. If that's a cult then sign me up 🤣🤣🤣.
Well Baringa really seems to be the Marmite of consulting
They also pay more than big 4 so that’s a bonus
I’ve only ever heard positive things about the culture from both current and former employees.
I interviewed there and the process was a joke, completely disorganised. But once I got through to the Partner stage it was very encouraging. The partner said he’d rather I take my time and speak to various people in his team before making my decision even if that meant it’d take 6 months.
Hmm isn’t that a bit weird though?
