I don’t really look at it as a publicity for or against Atlanta. It kind of is trashy tv, which I’m not above watching sometimes! But having something based here is helpful in people thinking and talking about it. Atlanta can have a bad name sometimes see having come other connection in that sense is good.

Got this little gem as part of a bundle for my classroom. Absolutely delightful! Set in 1946 in Chicago, Cline-Ransome does a magical job of describing how a young boy struggles with death, moving, bullying, and learning of his own heritage. I can’t wait to share this with my students!
