Yep, you can do it with a formula. In the next column you can use (assume your first data point starts on A1 and your first value in new column is =A1) =If(A2=“”, B1,A2), ie you’re telling it to return the value if it’s not blank and the above info if it is.
Isblank is a newer function you can use instead of A2=“”

What do you mean by fill?
Like, fill the same value of the cell above untill once cell has a value written? And then you fill the ones below that with its value?
I thought I saw a flash fill feature somewhere which I assume would do it, but haven't tested. Alternatively, you can highlight the entire used range. Then F5 > Special objects > select blank cells. Once all blank cells are selected, type in = and point to the cell above the active cell. Hit ctrl+enter. That should fill every blank cell with a formula that points to cell above.
