Not quite clear on what you need. I wonder if the functions left() and right () would help you? This way you could split up those codes and use sumif() to get totals of different combinations?
Unclear what you are asking. Are you just trying to flag any cells that have the letter ‘w’ in it? Or are you trying to count w’s in each cell?
If the former, Maybe try =find()?
If the latter you are looking at something a bit more complex.
Make sure you add a check if you do use the sim if route. You want to make sure that all of the sumif() results equal the number of data points.
I.e w1-x1-y1-z1 has a certain meaning which I want to show in a visualisation
