Overlap in LWD of old company and new company, New company has joining date of 21th October, but my current company was trying to retain me and my resignation was put on hold. The retained offer was quite less and I rejected the offer. Because of this, my resignation was processed from the day I rejected the offer. now this has led to the 3 weeks of overlap in LWD[7th November] and new company's joining date [21th October]. My current company's manager is not willing to talk, negotiate, buyout.

Do you find working remotely during this time that you’re having a harder time staying on top of everything that’s going on? With the scattered communication and a boss who hasn’t been as focused and can be hard to pin down, I sometimes think I’m giving 150% but something ends up lagging and I’m just wiped out. Whenever I have to put slides together, I doubt myself a million times and it takes too long to make a single slide. I know I have Impostor Syndrome and depression, and the longer it takes to put a slide together, the harder it is to get it done. It’s like I have a phobia for doing the work, but it’s my job as a consultant 😔 I think I fear getting it wrong, but I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how they have coped? Interviewed for a GS-15 (same agency but different office) and totally aced the interview with excellent answers. They know I’m a top performer with senior references. However I noticed there was an internal candidate who has been there for few years and interviewed that’s a veteran. I feel my chances just sank and want to gauge thoughts.
