Hi Google - I am requesting guidance!
I am prepping for my interview specifically GCA and open ended questions. I struggle to tell if the outcome should be talking through your process/steps (maybe for a question like - how would you go about determining program complexity) vs a specific solution such as create x new product, for x market by x date based on my assumptions. Is the desired outcome something I can clarify with the interviewer?
Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

What I’m Asking
This job meant a lot. I trusted the process. I resigned in good faith. Now I’m left jobless — not due to my skills but due to miscommunication.
I’m asking:
• For a formal clarification on why the offer was pulled.
• For a reconsideration if at all possible.
👉 Has anyone experienced something similar? What would you do in my place?
Any thoughts or advice would mean a lot.
why would you resign before even receiving the offer letter?
Have you received another offer or have you revoked your offer letter?
None of these happened, no offer from PwC and didn’t withdraw resignation.
Did you submit the latest company offer letter and salary slip and other documents or verification?
For how many months did you work on this company that was not mentioned in your resume?
Initial response will be PwC takes the resume as the base for verifications and if it failed , and even the offer letter was not generated PwC seems to be on the right side.
It was a month only (15-20 days) recently joined the company.
During the interview, I mentioned having an offer from that company but didn’t clearly state I had already joined. This was a genuine oversight, not an attempt to mislead.
✅ First Comment (Continue in Replies):
2. Proactive Disclosure to HR
Right after the interview, I proactively informed HR about my current employment status and explained the resume issue. I was clearly told:
• It wouldn’t affect the hiring process.
• I should go ahead and submit all documents.
• The hiring manager would be updated.
✅ Second Comment:
3. Verbal Confirmation and Resignation
Soon after, I had a salary discussion and was verbally told my selection was confirmed and the offer was in approval.
Based on that, I resigned from my current job. My last working day is 26th June 2025, after which I’ll be unemployed.
✅ Third Comment:
4. Sudden Change & Final Rejection
Then, the job description on the portal was suddenly updated with a different title. No communication. No clarity.
Eventually, I was told the offer was withdrawn — allegedly because I “hid” my employment, even though I disclosed it early and in writing.
