Best books on leadership and sales skills?
Hi everyone! Anyone in PwC’s Value Creation able to help and discuss qualifications required? I’m looking for a role in which I can use my Ops and manufacturing background for topics such as supply chain, cost reduction, performance improvement and Six Sigma to help increase value. I’m looking at the experienced associate level - could anyone refer if there is a match and or need? Also, is this Advisory or Strategy&? Thank you all! PwC

@BCG1 and @D3: Not using the Oxford comma actually isn't ambiguous in your examples. When describing a proper noun, if the descriptor comes before the proper noun, there is no comma. So, if Mary is the mom, it would either be, "My mom Mary and I..." OR "Mary, my mom, and I." It would be confusing in the second case as to whether or not Mary is the mom assuming you use an Oxford comma, but saying, "Mary, my mom and I" definitely assumes 3 people and no Oxford comma.

Use the damn comma when it serves to clarify the statement, otherwise who cares. Don't use it/not use it because "it's an Oxford comma".. Good grief

See what happens when you exclude the Oxford comma?!?
People who hate oxford commas are morons, uneducated, and dumb.
Who gives a fuck about an oxford comma?
@C1 I certainly do, OP does, and so do other non-barbarians. We care because we want to reduce ambiguity in communication, it just looks right, and that $10M lawsuit a few months ago.
@D3 that's not an Oxford comma that's just grammatically incorrect
My mom, Mary, and I went to the store.
How many people went to the store? It's ambiguous if you use the Oxford Comma

There are three types of people in the world: those who don't speak/write in English, those who use Oxford commas, and idiots.
D3, that is when you use parentheses. "My mom (Mary) and I ..."
The "Oxford" comma is the correct use of the comma. Correct punctuation improves clarity. If meaning matters, then punctuation matters.
How d5? I don't know if the mom is Mary or if there is a friend called Mary too :o
D3 that sentence is equally ambiguous without the Oxford comma. The ambiguity is a result of the sentence itself/lack of context.
I prefer the Cambridge colon to be honest
Are you telling kids at the airport to get off your lawn?!?!?!
BCG1 I'm dyyyying right now😂😂
Lol you all parrot the necessity for the oxford comma but fail to acknowledge its shortcomings.
