Playing in my first tourney in five years today. Typical mid-life lapse. Had kids, got injured, trying to get back into the game. Played D1 golf 25 years ago so my brain and my self image don’t match my game anymore. Trying to figure out how to just relax and have fun, but man it’s hard to just give in to age. Especially when once about every four swings I hit a shot that makes me look like a scratch again. Pray for me.

Transitioning from com. lit into tax controversy?

I have a tax LLM and started my career out of law school doing M&A tax at a big4. After 9 months, I got out of big4 transactional hell and into whatever litigation I could find. I now practice commercial lit but would welcome the opportunity to eventually transition into tax controversy (which I wasn’t able to do before). Does my commercial litigation “break” hurt my prospect? How long can I stay in com lit without hurting my chances even more?

Instructor mentioned that the driver is like swinging a wet noodle for me lol and I should look into a men’s or one with stiffer flex. I have no idea what to look for. Are the people at Dicks Sporting Goods knowledgeable or worth driving the 40 min to PGA store?
