I've seen a couple posts about unionizing, anyone know anything about the potential Kaiser strike in early October? Saw online that they're already hiring for scabs, $3400-$5950 + housing, travel transportation, and per diem. And this is for techs!!!

Any recommendations for a quick weekend ski trip? Possibly something 2-3 hours away? I have a car, so that’s not a problem.

Any advice for how to decline travel? Partner is pushing for us to go but there is a delta variant and I want to be able to spend time with my family without worrying I’ll infect them. The team culture is quite toxic (these people berate each other daily) so I feel uncomfortable speaking up, but I really don’t see a good reason for going there to do work I can do from home.

Hello, first post here. Outside sales, merchant services/card processing. I’m primarily a welder but I work 4 10-hour shifts typically then I try sales the last three days. I’ve done it long enough to where I’m confident and comfortable going to new businesses, establishing some rapport with business owners. But it seems like a lot of businesses see this as a waste of time, even adding services and cutting costs. I guess either I’m looking for advice or considering not doing this anymore.
