Going to Costa Rica in March. Plan to go from San Jose > La Fortuna > Monteverde > San Jose. Is car rental the best option? How easy is it to drive around there? Thanks.

Highly recommend the resort Tobaccon for Arenal, best place I’ve ever stayed at!

like

I second this. Absolutely best hotsprings situation ive ever been to in my entire life

I did the same route but also did Jaco. Renting a car is easy and convenient and you will see amazing views. Roads are in good condition. Use Waze to help get you around as it works well in Costa.

I used Vamos Rent-A-Car. No complaints.

Car rental is the way to go. We also went to tamarindo. You’ll see the microclimates they have when ur driving. Beautiful country

Definitely car rental as public transportation is not the most reliable.

Thanks

Which tour company/website did you guys use to arranged guided tours to volcanos, hikes through forests, and ziplining activities.

Also tabacon hot springs is an absolute must. Dont go elsewhere for hotsprings and be sure to book in advance

Definitely get a car rental, make sure it’s a 4 wheel drive you’ll need good tires for the drive to Monteverde. If you have chase sapphire reserve card they pay for rental insurance, make sure you get a letter from chase that says they cover rental car insurance or else you’ll have to pay $150 extra for car insurance in CR

They can email it to you but you have to have it printed out, yes call the benefits center at chase and ask them for it. I’m sure this is common request they get. The letter has to have your name on it! I think you can get it before you book car rental too

In la fortuna, go to the waterfall, do the arenal hike, hanging bridges, and go to the lake. Highly recommend doing zip lining through Salvatura in Monteverde. It’s beautiful because you do it through the rain forest!! Loved Costa Rica, my favorite trip so far!

Just spent a week at Revelstoke BC and that place is ridiculous! They already had 27’ of snow so far this season and it snowed every day we were there. Not for beginners and endless tree skiing and cliff hucking (if interested). Great town vibe and worth the effort to get there. Visited Fernie BC on my last trip and highly recommend that place too!

I am also taking classes in python. I also have a lot healthcare experience. Ping me!

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Not sure if there’s a better bowl for this question but if you get a drastically different haircut than shown in your ID and passport does it make traveling internationally a major hassle? Shaved head verse normal length style for context

How do you hire for a role that fluctuates? I currently am the designer + support specialist @ my job. Sometimes support takes up all my time and design projects get pushed back. Other times support is dead for two days. Does anyone have solutions?
