Question for anybody who has done an LOD due to COVID infection/complications: my medical folks are telling me that you cannot do an LOD for COVID unless you were hospitalized due to COVID for at least 24 hours. However, I have developed pericarditis and an irregular heart rhythm as a COMPLICATION FROM COVID. Is there a way to do a line of duty based off of that? Something seems wrong here, unless I’m mistaken. I’ve already been approved for disability leave for 16 days by my civilian employer..

Take victories and defeats as equals! Nothing will teach young soldiers more than making mistakes in the heat of battle that almost cost you your life. If you're still breathing, there's something to learn. Listen to it.

My advice: Concentrate on yourself above anything else, follow orders but also know how those orders affect you, serve your country but never forget you are serving yourself first. The objective is not to die honorably but to survive dutifully. What else would you add?

We as the armed forces of the United States have a research department, but the greatest advances at the armament level come from private sectors, this could not be something counterproductive because if they sell a product to us, what deprives them of selling it to other countries?

Am I the only one who fears a third world war is among us? I've been studying the circumstances that led to WW1 and WW2, and let me tell you, we're not as far as they were. I hope the better judgment of people avoids such a catastrophic outcome.

What makes a good soldier in your opinion?

The feeling of avoiding mines buried on the gorund is one I carry at all times, and I remember the fear and the anxiety at every step. I still feel like this today, like every decision I make will lead to disaster.
