What city and what car?
You can have plenty of fun with a fast car in and around the city IF it’s a manual. Fast automatic cars are silly to me.
Yup, I had a Model S Plaid that I got rid of because it was overkill
Lame
While I personally havent done this, its more of a common sentiment than you'd think.
For a good deal of people, its more fun to drive a slow car fast rather than a fast car slow.
Nahhs drive fast and furious
I found myself bouncing back and forth in my preference between power and agility every few years and my vehicle purchases reflected that 🤣
An extreme example was me having a motorcycle with 0-60 under 3 seconds, and I was genuinely hanging on for dear life every time I went over 6k rpm at any gear. After that none of my cars/motorcycles had anywhere close to that power as it was totally unusable and utterly terrifying on the street 🫣
I like knowing that I have it when needed.
No. But if you live in certain cities, some have racetracks where you can pay to drive on an enclosed, private speedway with your sports car. You might enjoy the camaraderie with others who do that, OP. I know Miami has at least one such place. New York has a few too.
No. It’s always better to have more power and not need it than to have not enough power. What you might want is an old, more tactile car from the 90/00s. “Slow car fast” is for brokies
Get a used Tesla S or model 3 performance. Under $40k, and 3.1 0-60. And then you can also use it in traffic
