What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

Take it. I was in a similar situation with my first job, making 80k when I got an offer for 130k. The 130k wasn't the "end goal," but I'd rather make 130k over the next year while looking for my dream job than make 80 for the next year while looking for my dream job.

What’s the timeline on the next job?
If you’re going to quit after 2 months, it’s probably not worth it. But if you want to stay a year, then why not.
I do hate starting new jobs with paperwork, onboarding, networking, etc, so that colors my answer.
If your current job is good/chill enough to allow you to keep looking then turn it down and keep looking. In the past couple months have had to do this twice. Would rather sleep walk through holiday season and delay a bit.
Great insight everyone. Honestly not sure how long it would be before I secure another role but I think I will take it.
If you like your current role I’d hold out till you find a role you like better, I took my current role for the money and every day I’m at work I regret it
