Monday Morning Motivation:

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Everything mentioned here except Brooks Brothers is Not dress pants. Those are casual work pants. Nothing wrong with that but don’t assume they’re the same. A good pair of medium weight wool dress pants, very well tailored for you, will last a dozen years and hundreds of wears - and look professional and finished. Obviously depends on what you’re wearing them with. Navy is most practical. Look on Pinterest. I know my
Measurements and typically have bought secondhand for MANY years, so can get $300 pants for like $50.
Yeah J crew is overpriced for the quality but the sales keep me coming back. I’ve seen some nice stuff at Buck Mason, often a little less slim fitting.
How dressy do you need? Banana Republic has some nice ones and can’t really go wrong with Brooks Brothers
Try Rhône - honestly has changed the game for me. Prefer it over LuLu 100% and machine washable. Also, if you order online you get 20% off and they have great sales every few months. Come already tailored too and have every size
I prefer Rhone as well - both for dressier clothing and also athleisure
Lululemon has dress pants. Lululemon or pantsless

My brother loves Bonobos
I also love bonobos because they offer multiple options for fits and sizes so you’re not stuck (as much) with whatever is mainstream at the time.
Banana republic has some great options
Core temp pants are my go to
Does it need stretch?
Lauren by Ralph Lauren has been my go to but I think they may have discontinued the brand. I like some of Quince’s offerings but they may be too casual for you
Dillard's Round Tree Brand, Travel Smart Line. Very easy to mix and match with sports coat and shirts. Offered if various fits as well.
