Consider the vendor paper. It is drafted specifically for what they sell. It probably isn’t too insensitive to customers or they wouldn’t sell many SaaS subscriptions. Using leverage as the larger co is weak rationale

We push our paper for sales but gladly review vendor terms. It’s much easier.
The service agreements are not that difficult to review. I just did one and ended up going nowhere. Don’t stress too much.
I agree, most vendors accept all my changes.
I would not push back at all. Your job is to support your sales team, they’re the decision maker, and this isn’t a legal issue.
I let them know if they’d like to review our paper then that works, otherwise it’ll have to wait until January as there’s about 100 other higher priority items ahead of this one. (Didn’t say the last part, but that’s the unfortunate truth)
I’d remove the external people and talk to your team separately. Explain why they should use your paper and the realistic timeline of review and lay out the risks involved. Its a pet peeve of mine when sales/purchasing loops in the other side to ask me a question so I make sure to tell them now to NOT respond in the same thread otherwise it defeats the purpose of internal comms.
I’m also in a large company and push our paper in most of our purchasing deals I’m involved in because they’re above the $ threshold and are usually higher risk. Also adding that we don’t have any contract review software yet because if AI review processes so we do it all manually, and it would take much longer than 20mins.
