Certainly a good chunk of them are, at least at my workplace. I'm casually referred to as a commie and sometimes libtardf for having socially progressive views lol
Like many other jobs, cops and military members vote for the people who show the most support for people in their profession, it's only natural that they'll lean conservative
I'd say the job draws in people with conservative values so it's only natural for that to be the trend
There is no one answer to this question, as some police officers may identify as conservative while others may not. However, many people believe that the majority of police officers skew conservative, due to the nature of the job and the expectations that come with it.
Yes, I believe that the vast majority of cops are conservative. This is because they typically value the status quo and want to preserve the status quo. Cops are also typically patriotic and supportive of law and order. And there is no shame in that.
I'm pretty left and know to keep my views to myself. They are definitely NOT appreciated by the majority of people I work with.
Politically, not necessarily; but in terms of the actual meaning, yes, we are conserving the way our country functions. So you would be hard pressed to find an anarchist cop.
I certainly hope so. I come from an area of the country that is liberal to a fault, and conservative surely beats the alternative as far as I'm concerned.
A good portion of us are conservative. It fits well with the job duties and conservatives are generally good at following the chain of command, which is absolutely essential in this line of work.
