I work at a small, 3 lawyer firm. One of the lawyers is not barred in the state we practice. Because of this, the managing attorney has been having him draft motions and other legal documents and use my name and bar number and having me file them because I will have to appear in court for the matter. Is Tokyo doable as a solo traveler with zero knowledge of the language? Thinking of doing a group trip there but adding on a few days alone in Tokyo at the beginning. I’m pretty well traveled in general and do just fine alone, but a different alphabet certainly makes things harder (if translations aren’t common). Female if that makes a difference.

Had to cancel a flight with Alaska Airlines and they gave me a credit. Problem is company will only reimburse me for a refunded flight and the credit expires before I’ll be able to use it. Anyone have any luck/tricks to getting a refund from Alaska?
