I think it's all about bridging the gap between where you are and where you want to be through your résumé and cover letter. Make it very obvious what your goals are to any recruiter or hiring manager who reviews your application. Especially if you don't have direct experience but you want to build it. Talk about transferable skills and your passion for the industry and how you're a quick learner, etc.
Have you tried networking to get referrals? Sometimes a referral can help you get your foot in the door. Especially when you don't have a ton of experience.

Do you have contacts within your company to help you?
Are you currently in financial operations, or operations within a non-financial setting?
If you have operations experience, it is not that difficult to get a financial operations position as they tend to be relatively entry-level, but they will appreciate your educational background and operational experience that you already have.
Personally, I didn’t go to a top school or have the network or guidance available to land a good position in finance after graduating, so I took a non traditional path and started as a CSA in a wealth management setting then was in a couple of different operations roles before being able to move into a more front office position.
Ops roles such as those in margin or in trade support are often good bridge roles, particularly trade support focused on a specific asset class so that you can build up an expertise (ex - on an FX desk, or fixed income, or swaps, etc, building up a specific targeted knowledge base rather than becoming a generalist can set you up for a more targeted career path)
