Self-confident people don’t seek validation from others, they just live authentically. How do you embrace self-confidence in your daily life?

I'm not even sure I'm that self-confident, I'm just too old to care about what most other people think. I stopped worrying about that in high school.

Knowing who you are and that breathing and just BEING is self-confidence. Not having to prove anything to anyone is self-confident.

Stay true to your values. Don’t sell your soul to make a buck.

Having self-confidence is essential and admirable but it is also important to not allow self-pride and arrogance creep into your persona. Having a humble disposition will take you a lot further in life than strutting around like a rooster ever will.

Completely agree! Confidence is key, but humility keeps you grounded. People appreciate someone who’s self-assured yet approachable. Arrogance tends to push others away, while humility builds stronger, lasting connections. It’s all about balance!

I don’t stress about what others think about me. I just do my thing and let that be enough. People that are going to like me will like me and those that don’t, won’t. There isn’t much I can do in that situation and that’s ok.

I am enough for me and that’s what matters, and I make sure that I bring my authentic self to work as well.

I'm honestly terrible about this but looking to improve!

So today was my first day on a stimulant (diagnosed as an adult), and everyone says its suppose to feel like *boom* magic, or normal (?) , I guess. Knowing that is figurative, what should I actually be expecting? I feel mostly the same, I think, though I came in and actually did started my work today. But I mean, somedays I do that...I just don't want to psyche myself out if I'm expecting too much. Or pscyhe myself in if I actually might not be experiencing what I should.

Making a lot of money relative to the average but feeling poor? Median after-tax income was ~$55,000 in 1981 and was ~$73,000 in 2020. Using a Bank of Canada inflation calculator $55,000 in 1981 is equivalent to ~$165,000 today, which would put someone in the top 10% of earners today. But in 1981 the median family had that extra money. Who can I blame?

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I would appreciate any input!!!!
