Should I avoid working for consulting firms that base bonuses on utilization %? Is that creating stress and working against a good work life balance? My current firm doesn’t have this so I’m curious what your experiences are? Thank you!

Working Moms/Dads: Do in-house positions exist with flex time hours? I need to be able to leave work at 4pm to pick up my son from daycare, but i can get back online at home to resume any unfinished work at 8pm. Is this realistic to convey to any companies in an interview? Pandemic aside, is face time 9-7pm really important? Or should i just try to find a job with a salary that covers a nanny salary and accept that i will never see my son on weekdays (which would be sad for both of us)? TIA!

Last week I was offered a govt job at NGA (Budget analyst) 40k increase not guaranteed remote. 45 min drive +retirement

If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?
