Should I be worried if I got a Document Preservation Notice from our legal team?

No. This isn’t something you have done. Just follow the notice guidelines and that’s it.

like

It should say which documents you need to preserve. Does it not?

like

Nope, it just means the client is involved in legal proceedings where our documents could potentially become relevant to discovery. Just set up a folder in Outlook to segregate old emails and don’t delete anything that’s related to that client. If you were somehow personally involved OGC would reach out separately.

like

Nope - just follow the instructions they give you about what to preserve and how to do it. It's no big deal unless you ignore the notice. Don't ignore the notice and it will be fine.

like

No, you get used to them after a while. Just follow the instructions and don’t delete anything once you’ve received the notice.

Curious what others think about this: a friend of mine has a couple of months of leave this fall to study for the CPA exam (they’ll be paid a reduced salary during their leave), but they mentioned they have no intention of studying for the exam, and instead plan to use that time to look for another job. This rubs me the wrong way, but wanted to hear what others think…
