No. If you did not found job in 5 months then how can you get one in 3 months. It will increase stress. So relax. Focus on learning. There are many opportunities in market.
There are companies which hire on 3 month notice period. Ex- infosys, ltimindtree , hexaware. Just apply to those and get first offer.
Sure will try this.
Had been in the same situation and dropped paper without any offer. Utilised the first 30days to prepare for interview and now I have 2offers in hand and still have 10more to serve notice.
This decision ultimately gave me lot of sleepless nights thinking I took the wrong decision but in the end fortune favours the brave.
Don’t drop the paper if you are not sure. Ask yourself whether you have the confidence and skills to crack 4out of 2 interviews.
If yes go for it, if not prepare well and look out for opportunities.
All the very best
Sure 😊 thank you so much for your kind words
Understand the tough situation, last year I was in the same.
Just a word of advice- don't quit without an offer, as the situation will only feel worse and will make you more desperate for a job offer, and desperation is never good for cracking interviews and even worse for salary negotiations.
If possible try to dedicate some hours a day for skill building, job search and building connections.
The situation will definitely improve, brace yourself for the grind you'll will surely get your goal.
This are inspiring words
Unless you have strong financial stability and can manage a potential career gap, it’s advisable to continue your job search while staying employed. Focus on negotiating your notice period and highlighting its flexibility in your applications. Explore internal opportunities, invest in upskilling, and leverage your current role as a platform for growth.
This approach ensures financial stability while increasing your chances of securing a role that aligns with your goals. Stay persistent—your skills and experience will lead you to the right opportunity.
Thank you so much, thanks to you and everyone who commented and shown their support , yeah many have advised me to stay emplyed and look for the job while employed and upskilling.
Well kind of same condition here
Market is tough these days and they want 30 days NP
I was thinking to resign without OL many people does that and start looking but risk is there
Yeah , but thinking of getting calls everyday is tough we don't get much but if we get any calls they ask for NP days and they say it like they will get back. So this is very🥹
I also have same question. Getting calls and everything if i put some nearby dates in naukri, but with 90 days, people are not proceeding the profile itself. Some even say- call back once you resign 🙂
If you have 15 months of savings equal to your current salary then quit and search else stay put and keep trying... you'll find something better for sure. The market out there is very competitive and supply is way too high
Thank you so much for the help. I don't have dependency single and yeahh I will touch 30 in a year , my own elder brother is in bangalore, and I can stay with him during this time , yeah i do have savings too.
Please do not resign without having any offer in hand at any cost!
In case you don't find any offer in those 90 days, then you'll have to wait for another 6 months (TCS has a cooldown period of 6 months).
I got an offer after trying 8-9 months due to less number of opening. Keep trying/applying for jobs. Be prepared. Rest is not in our hands. Keep yourself motivated. But don't resign without offer
Ya, resign and update your naukri profile. Keep your LinkedIn as open to work. You will get calls.
Resigning wo offer in a strict no. In the interview u tell that it's negotiable.
Secondly, get ur project or unit changed or start asking for release so that ur dependency is reduced, making np negotiation easier.
Keep looking but don't resign unless you don't buy ur groceries.
Discuss with your manager whether the 90-day notice period can be negotiated. It might be possible to reduce it to a month or less.
Sure Will Discuss It with my manager, let me see what he will say.
if you are on bench, your actual notice period is 0.
Explain it to HR of next company.
I was in a chinndi company with 90 days notice period, saw many billable people getting released in less than actual 30days.
I informed same thing to hr of interviewing companies. Told them that on paper notice period is 90 days, but company is releasing early.
They asked me that are you sure have seen such examples and I said there were couple of from my teams itself. gave a two examples. they were billable also. while right now I'm on bench!
I'm on bench and there is no advantage for company to hold me for 90 days.
And in worst case if they will force it, you can definitely revoke your offer after due date, I'll still have 90days plus my own buffer. I can easily get new one in such duration.
After resignation, got released on exact same day due to bench!
Hope it helps!
Thank you so much, really it gave me some clearity on the things, thank you so much, let me try this hack in the interview call with hr, let's hope she/he understand too. Thank you so much for time.
Since you have been searching for the last 5 months, it means you are prepared now. If you're really depressed, then you should show some courage and put down the papers. Definitely you'll get good opportunities, otherwise even 1 year will still be less to be fully prepared.
I did the same even though I had a 2 month notice period.
Yeah I am prepared now and had some experience about what kind of questions could be asked, right now I am focusing on the code part as well , like what the interviewer could ask, and this is true 1 year is less to prepare fully. thank you so much for your kind words and means a lot to me .
I have been in this kind of situation before. I became very desperate when, 20 days into my notice period, I still hadn't received any offers. My experience has taught me that we often need to make small adjustments to our resume and what we say in interviews about or skillset. Therefore, I believe it's better to accept a decent offer first and then consider quitting later.
Sure, Thank you So much for your words.
Thank you Everyone for your blessings finally after very downs and serious health issues , anxiety and headache during these 2-3 months , finally after troubling with all these things, I have landed a Job with a good package.
Thank you For your guidance when I needed the most , thanks to everyone 🙏.
Happy for you
Don't resign without any offers. Current
I’ve been in your position for almost a year. Quitting should not be just about money alone, if the work environment is toxic and taking a toll on your health then definitely do. I was denied promotion with below average pay for two continuous years within my own company. Luckily I’ve put my papers as I found an opportunity which pays be 3x my current and offers me a jump in my title from software engineer to staff engineer.
If I’m able to do this even you’re. Just have a little patience everything will be alright.
Thank you so much for every one who took their time to guide me whne i needed the most , I am so greatful for your time and genuine advice. Thanks a lot. Definitely I will Update you all with positive news very soon, I am trying my best to upskill and brudhing up my knowledge.
