Hello Gang, I’m on the business side for Walmart right now. Walmart Global Tech recently offered me a role to move to the San Bruno office, but I’d be taking a demotion from L6 to E5. YOE: 8, COMP(200k base, 25% bonus, 100k RSU). Is this competitive in the bay? I have Doordash and Instacart in the pipeline, but no final offers yet.
I feel you..

In case there is an emergency landing on one of the non us territories, you’ll be in trouble. Same logic applies for Alaska, Hawaii, US Virgin Islands
Wow, never thought of that at all. Doubts getting stronger about traveling.

I call BS.
But hey, I don’t know your risk profile / affinity. If you’re worried about emergency landings, you shouldn’t fly anywhere near Canada either. Actually, don’t step out because what if someone kidnaps you and takes you south of the border.
Exactly my point

On a thread yesterday someone had their immigration papers checked on their return from PR. There is still some form of risk so depends on your risk appetite. Just know that EY LAW may not be that responsive if something happens.
Interesting, thank you. I did hear about spot check to ensure you are within the country legally but this isn’t immigration check per se.
OP - Did you end going to PR? I’m planning to use a direct flight in December but not sure about immigration requirements. My visa stamp has expired and wife has change of status situation from H4 to H1 with no visa stamp yet but both have valid & active 797 petitions
Thank you OP. This makes me feel assured about the trip. Will check with airlines once 👍🏼
