Your OPT ends in June so your work authorization ends in June. The grace period allows you to stay in the US but does not extend your work authorization
No, your employment ends with your employer at / before your opt end date. Put differently, you are not employed anymore but you can stay in the US within the grace period
Chief
The sooner you go, the sooner you'll meet your min of 1 year requirement to qualify for L1 and return to US.
Agree. This is my conclusion as well. Looks like I'm leaving in June 😂
I’m in the same boat. But in my case the company hasn’t provided me any secondary location.
I would say take UK
There is no guarantee that a 2nd lottery would happen.
From h1b lottery perspective, it does not matter whether you are in US or not. But I think you will make more money in US than in UK. So if I were you I would stay in as long as possible to make more money, and then move to london
They will not be able between June and Aug when their OPT expires, so money not relevant for the question. I’d say stay if you want to take some time off or travel around the US (that’s what I did in my grace period) but otherwise, just go to London right away
My h1 b got picked in second lottery in November last year
