So I have applied to 100 jobs in the past three months and I have had a very few calls back but no company has actually hired me for the job or even had a second interview. what could be the cause of this? background? career scouts scalping my jobs as they come in? is this a problem other places than in Western Illinois?

A lot of knowledge on here so asking for some help. It’s my partner’s birthday and I’ve no idea what to buy him. He’s a watch fanatic - Pateks (sports and dress), Audemars (sports and dress), Rolex (sports), Omega (sports).

I’m obviously not buying him a watch for his birthday (in his dreams!) but any idea for some good accessories? He’s already got a PP watch winder, and has bought multiple nice straps for the dress watches. I’m completely lost.

I interviewed at a law firm and had my final round last Friday. The Tuesday afterward, I got a call from the recruiter saying the firm won’t have a decision for another week. I believe they’re interviewing other candidates. Does that make me second or third choice? And does the fact that I’m working with a recruiter hurt my chances of being selected due to the commission? Should I hold out for the offer or is 1+ week a sign that I won’t be selected?

I currently work at a medium sized firm and have about two years experience in personal injury litigation.
