So,I understand deadlines and pressure are normal. But my team manager often uses threatening language like:
“I don’t care how you do it, finish everything in certain period of time or there will be very serious consequences for you all.Our testing has no credibility left. Then during year-end, you all ask for hikes, appraisals, and promotions”
Coz of this I’ve been feeling constant stress and anxiety at work.
Is this normal leadership in tech teams, or reasonable to escalate to HR?

I feel under qualified at work but I also don’t know how much of it is in my head or in reality. I head a team and they seem to be happy… but I’m also personally not satisfied what we’re delivering is enough… so I have this weird mixed feeling of the stuff we’re doing not really being that stretching, but at the same time I feel out of my depth. I really don’t know what to do and whether to hold on in the hope I’ll learn something or go back to a lower grade and a more comfortable life.
