So I'm thinking about diving in and trying nearpod, anyone have positive or negative feedback to consider or friendly tips?

Nearpod is extremely useful, even in HS Soc Stud classes. My freshmen enjoyed the layout & pacing. I’m planning on using it again this year, with the accounts purchased by my district. Some of the pay-to-use Nearpods from other teachers are good, esp if they are in your state and meet same standards.

I love it. I spent the whole summer creating lessons for my first unit of the year. The kids also think it's fun to post their answers and see results right away.

I used it just a few times last school year and my students enjoyed it...we just played games.

So Nearpod is awesome. It tracks student participation because the lessons are really interactive. You can upload documents and have them use draw it to annotate and learn more about the topic. It’s been great. The assessments are graded on the spot. The kids get immediate feedback. They have a option similar to Kahoot also right on Nearpod. Overall it is a great data tracker too for distance learning.

Thanks for the feedback, looking for one spot for my students to do as much as possible instead of jumping around. Really appreciate your help

It's very good! Other teachers in my building didn't use it during the trial our school had so we didn't buy a school subscription. It's too cost preventative fir me to buy myself.

The free version still offers a lot though. We had a free COVID trial school license that recently expired but the free features are even better than when I checked it out pre-COVID.

We just started using it at our school because we were getting low participation from virtual and even face to face students who saw the virtual not participating. I put the questions I would normally ask out loud in Nearpod and grade it as a participation grade. Now everyone is participating. I have used the collaboration board after having them go to a site and tell me what they learned. So far so good.

Will Amex restricting guess access for Centurion Lounge actually make any difference?

I can see short term changes but the way Amex has been aggressively marketing Platinum card, we just will have overcrowding of primary card holders 🤷🏻‍♂️

What's next, everyone has to spend min. 50k a year to get Centurion lounge access or pay per visit.

I need advice about Zoom. Is it easier to have a zoom link with your personal Id or a simple generated one? I want to connect my Zoom link in my clever portal, but for some reason the generated one doesn’t work, but I’m afraid if I switch anything it will mess up the flow. Any experts do we have advice?
