Sounds like he’s having a hard time with the routine of married life. Maybe see if someone can watch the kids and you guys just go out and get wasted one night. There’s nothing that’s gonna fix that problem other than a little spontaneity a few times a month most likely.
Couples therapy. I don’t mean to be alarmist, but you’re not “fun” and he can’t tell you why might be code for “I’m looking for a way out and looking to blame you for it instead of owning that I regret being the married father of a young child.” At least that’s what my husband meant. He had tinder on his phone 😒
Date nights might work, or they might not. Either way you two need to talk to each other better than you are right now.
It sounds like there are multiple competing priorities but your marriage is third or fourth down the list. Get some date nights on the calendar, get childcare and prioritize each other for a bit.
Take up a “fun” hobby and he can be responsible for his child & the housework while you go pursue it. 🙃
maybe both of you should take a test from Five Love Languages find out what each other’s love language is and put that on the top of you to do’s, your job and $$ ain’t anything if this marriage ends in a divorce, no one told you the hardest thing in life is to have a happy marriage for your 90 years of earth existence with no divorce, everything else is super easy including a job that pays enough for u to survive on 3 meals a day, gas to get to work, 5 pieces of clothes to put on for 5 days of working. Fun does not need to cost money but you certainly need to find out what his definition of “fun” is. Maybe it’s been awhile since u gave him a b*** job, hubby likes that, the more the better, and hubby, if u r reading most wife wants something romantic not your type of fun like “giving h****”, so compromise between you two.
