Some days feel like they last forever, but somehow the weeks and months just vanish in a blur. I looked up recently and realized I’ve been at this job for three years, even though it feels like I just started, and also like it’s been an entire decade. It’s like when you’re mentally checked out, time starts folding in on itself. I barely remember full stretches of last year because it all blended into the same exhausting routine. Anyone else feel this weird distortion in toxic environments? What would you do to snap out of it or get grounded again?

Does anyone know specifically comp numbers at AbbVie for grade 20-21 in a commercial role? I'm having trouble understanding specifically what comp would be at the level they are considering me for. Really like the people / opportunities but I'm afraid the comp will be a big drop off from where I'm at now at the level they have me pegged at and would rather tell them now before proceeding

I'm interviewing with KKR for a Principal role in their real estate group. All online salary resources are all in alignment with a total comp of $200k+. I'm assuming based on the average salary reported across these portals for principal that those figures apply to the RE group as well. Anyone have any direct knowledge or can speak to that group's comp?

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). Someone told me today that they just assume I’m not interested because I always seem to “run” but I’m not sure how to bring up problems/feelings otherwise. How do you approach these hard questions?
