Some of my favorite coworkers have left consulting for startups, and honestly, they seem happier. They make less money, sure, but they have creative freedom and no client churn. Meanwhile, I’m billing 50+ hours a week and feeling like a ghost in my own life. Would you ever trade your consulting salary for a job with less chaos and more meaning? Or do you think the high pace and variety are worth the burnout?

I work heavily in AWS and am looking to learn another cloud platform. I have zero knowledge of azure and gcp and would like input on which to learn. Azure would make sense since its the second largest in terms of market share, but GCP seems far more interesting and technically challenging with things like Kubernetes and BigQuery.
