Hey guys, Since I am working in Deloitte and right now, I am working from home. I want to go Nepal for 2 months and I want to work from there. Do I need to tell my manager or simply I can go there and start my work. Is there any obligation?
Note- I don't want to tell anyone. Since it may backfire sometimes

It depends on your circumstance and what you’re wanting out of life. For myself, I wanted the grind to refine my skillset and polish my tradecraft. Are you familiar with Malcom Gladwell’s principle that it takes on average 10,000 hours to master a skill? You could take that and if you worked exclusively on tha skill 40 hours a week be a master at 5 years or you can increase that weekly and cut down the time it takes to master that skill.
Again, this is for myself, I want to spend several years in consulting to get the skills and experience and then transition to a smaller firm that has a direct need for my skillset and is willing to pay above market value to attract talent. If you learn how to be a big fish in a big pond, you’ll be able to be a big fish in a small pond much easier.
