Someone here once told me to put the company that violated my rights so that others won't fall into the same situation. I'm still wondering if they're right. 🤔

How would writing put options have any effect on your company?

Yes, name and shame!

Oh, I see what OP is saying. To name the company. Got it. Just be careful with that OP. Things aren’t always as anonymous as we might think. But it’s up to you. Now if you’re considering suing for discrimination, etc., that’s a different story.

I decided to take applying for external opportunities more seriously. I understand it is insane out there. How do you get yourself organized for this? Do you keep an excel sheet? Do you have a target of how many applications you send out in a day? I am asking because I was applying earlier this year and got burned out real fast. I needed to pause and re-think my methods. I know there's a better way to do this. Any advice will help. TIA!

Almost midnight here and I'm cleaning my medicine cabinet so I can reboot having a regular skin-care routine. I'm listening to one of my favorite musicals, "Ragtime", specifically the song "He Wanted to Say". Living 9 time zones away from home out of the US and watching the BLM movement there, unable to do anything concrete about it from here - this song I've listened to countless times, today about brought me to tears.

I really don’t mean this to virtue signal - just wanted to share a moment.

One year in NYC—24, enjoyed myself, but no deep connections with new friends/partners. Came to hopefully open the door on a variety of opportunities, but something tells me that spending another year here will not help that. Money flies, space is cramped, not thrilled with my office, hate winter. I miss LA a lot—I miss driving, the weather, the space, people...but everyone tells me I have to give NYC at least 2 years. Thoughts?

I grew up in a nuclear family away from extended relatives who were never really close. Parents were either emotionally unavailable or distant. All I've wanted for myself was a big loving family to call my own.. my parents are unaccepting of my sexuality & my partners family is also quite fucked up so she's isn't super close to them either. Honestly this sucks & it feels like I'll never have a huge supportive family I've wanted & craved for.

Kinda bummed. I’ve been single for 6 years (I’m 31 now). I live in ptown and talk to guys in Boston on tinder. Was talking to a guy for about a week who is my type. I asked if he wanted to FaceTime tonight and he said sure but caveated that he isn’t into long distance (ptown to Boston) and that we would most likely stick to chatting. Idk what’s wrong with me. Everyone tells me I’m a catch but guys I’m attracted to are never into me 😭 just needed to vent

I know I will get hated by saying this. Do you think gay pride events are portraying a bad image about our community to public? (Drugs, sexual, inappropriate clothes, and sometimes like strip clubs- some parts). I know it is right to present us but I just feel it is not the right way to show who we are. I wish the pride where everybody can connect in a more friendly way (outdoor game- team work, dance, drink something not too sexual.) there are some good parts of pride tho. Any opinions?
