$26 million AUM avg per advisor looks low to me. Even at 1% fee with 80% payout, that’s not even monthly production over $20k.

So I guess my question is that say I produce over $1mil with a wirehouse now and have over $100mil AUM....without consulting a headhunter, how do I start the process to get a peek under the hood at your place without getting hounded or confidentiality broken at my current shop?

Also, if my production is significantly higher than your average 85 advisors...am I not doing more of the heavy lifting (percentage wise) if you take a percentage of AUM as your cut??

Fun fact, y’all: if you change your title on fishbowl you can’t post again till they approve it. Finally got the new title approved, so I’ll be responding shortly!

Interesting....... if your running a large LPL osj we should talk

Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use. We currently have a primary residence with a mortgage balance of ~640K, so my understanding is I could only deduct the mortgage interest on 110K of the second mortgage to stay under the 750K cap. If I were to buy the second home through an LLC, would that allow me to exceed that 750K since the expenses of the second home would be pass through expenses/income?

Interviewed for Deloitte S&A Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.
