LinkedIn is a garbage app where I can’t even post my opinion or experience because it will go against the mainstream ideologies. If I even “like” a post then I worry that my peers and managers see what I like and suddenly I need inclusivity training. What a load of shit! I was today years old when I found out I 100% have high functioning anxiety

I have no idea what I’m doing. Life is a little overwhelming, and I want to keep growing as a professional but in a different direction than where I’m at right now. Switching careers and industries is so difficult. Props to those who’ve broken into their first job after a career change!

What do I do if my manager is ultra super micromanaging, she just called me out on an extra space in an entry in an analytical graph I created😱 not a big deal to me but she said it was unacceptable. Like idk what to do, I need the job and I’m still missing a long time to make the pivot to another company😩

I wish people understood that not every aspect of a relationship needs to be a democracy. Sometimes, the relationship is a Caribbean Island and you are its dictator. You don't have to compromise on every single issue and not every compromise is going to be 50/50. Ideally, you perfectly align half of the time, 40% of the time you compromise, and 10% of the time it's a unilateral decision.

For instance, because of my career, where we live is a unilateral decision on my end for whoever I date.

My firm does upward feedback and I asked about 10 of my team to participate so that I could be a better supervisor for them. My results: I got mostly great feedback with constructive points, however along with it I received the meanest, most cold hearted criticism I’ve ever seen (con’t in comments).
