Anyone ever have experience negotiating a new offer to include unvested 401k match and stock grants from your current employer? I slightly dropped my MacBook and apparently (slightly) damaged the keyboard and trackpad as per service Center. I don’t see any visible damage to the system but that’s what they say and are charging me about 28k for this even though my system is in warranty period (will complete a year in a few days). Reason I am asking this is - I earn close to 1.5 lakhs every month and if someone had told me this during my college days I would have taken it eyes closed thinking this is more than enough. But today, I am not able to be satisfied and I don't want this to become an affliction so thought to share with others here and get to know the general sentiments.
