Something strange happened at work. The new director asked managers to rate each developer from 1 to 10 and list who does or does not have a computer degree. When I asked why, they said people with CS degrees handle tough situations better and the ratings could help if workforce cuts are needed. That felt wrong. I have seen many without degrees perform at a very high level. What do you think? I feel we need better leadership, not this. It really bothered me and felt unfair to many. Honestly.
