Thoughts on a Omega De Ville Prestige as a first luxury watch? Would be ~$7.5K USD at retail. Some friends have said great things about Omega as a starter, whereas others say it’s not worth it over a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (which would be similar in cost).
I personally love how clean the design is, the use of gold, and the thinner band as it links the watch … find the Rolex band design to be too chunky.

Sounds like you want a dress watch with your 2 choices. I personally prefer the Santos given the history and more versatility than the Reverso, but I’m likely in the minority. They’re both great choices.
Rising Star
Neither of those are a dress watch…
Santos or IWC pilot watch
Pro
Seems like something more dressy is in order. JLC ultra thin (moon or not).
But the reverso would be cool as well. It's technically a sporty watch but it fits the bill of a dressier watch nowadays unless you're playing polo on the weekend.

I would either get rid of the GS and buy a better dress watch, or go for something with a different shape and color like a Monaco.
Pro
To counter the EY GS hatin' I say, buy another more dressy GS 3 hander on leather!
If you’re thinking Santos / Reverso you could land in the middle with a Cartier Tank. I have the Reverso and really enjoy it. Something different vs my other watches (Tudor BB, Tudor BB58, Snowflake, etc.). However, I’ve also been eyeing a Santos recently for similar reasons.
A no date field watch. Explorer 1 or Tudor Ranger.
You could go Frédérique Constant perpetual calendar for that range if you want extreme value complication.
You could also go JLC or GO pano lunar for a moon phase if you buy used.

Reverso
Sell the PRX and get a vintage oyster perpetual
Left to right:
Tudor BB58
Grand Seiko Soko Light
Omega Speedmaster
Tissot PRX
Considering: Cartier Santos, JLC Reverso Tribute monoface
Visual Storyteller
I’d sell the Tudor and Tissot and get a seamaster and a santos
No way. Had and sold a seamaster
Depends on your style and wrist size.
Style: semi-casual, rugged Americana
Wrist: Indian orphan during the famine of 1876
I would have kept the smp
Touché 😂
Also considering IWC ingenieur 35 as a PRX replacement, but I’m waiting until they’re available used or grey market
Good call! I always forget those come in 36mm. Need to go try it on
