Started a new job about 4 months ago now, when I was hired they were very aware of my lack of knowledge on the systems or company as a whole. Since being there they've left me to 'train' myself and I've now had numerous meetings now to inform me l am under performing and had my probation extended. When I do ask for support or advice I am met with disgruntled looks and general unpleasantness. The constant
'catch ups' to complain feel like they are almost trying to push me out.
Any advice please?

Start looking elsewhere. Play their game and do your best to learn the skills needed, but secretly be looking elsewhere and find a job that actually values its employees and doesn't play passive-aggressive games.

I’m very sorry to hear that. I agree, start looking for another job - but continue to do your best with this current position. This company doesn’t invest in their employees, and you deserve better.

So sorry to hear this happened to me many years ago. Unfortunately, I was let go before I was aware of what was going on. Hang in there you got this. Start looking and apply everywhere. Learn as much as you can while you are there. Also for training utilize youtube. Good luck and keep us posted!

I worked for PepsiCo for over 20 yrs in the Redding area. It truly was like family. I left after 20 + years. Took two yrs off to take care of my grandson. Went back to work and was shocked at how mean and backstabbing my co workers were. It wouldn’t matter how well I did something, they found something wrong with it. I felt like they didn’t want me to succeed. I created a spreadsheet in excel using formulas. It turned out to be just what we needed to make things easier and faster. I found out later that one of the girls told the boss she created it. I never received any training. I had to figure it out on my own. Don’t stay there! Look for something that brings you happiness. You will find it. There are companies out there that show you respect and let you know you are an asset to the company. Stay at the job you have until you find. A job that wants you! Play their game and don’t let it bother you. Remember it’s not you! They sound extremely unhappy and that is on them not you.
I am no longer working at the job I dreaded and the stress that I was keeping inside me for almost 7 yrs just left me. It took a while but now I feel 100% better. Respect is something that should be given to everyone. Wishing you a new job you will love and just keep telling yourself you deserve better! You do!

Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. There are so many major issues in this company that I don’t know if I want to subject my mental health to this degree of toxicity. I just don’t know how to move forward from here.

Help,I started a new career n the events industry and I think I have to quit! The person I report to is so disorganized and there are no other managers in the office to direct day to day operations of our department. On day 2 I was asked to go to a job site and perform a 12 hour day without any training, safety equipment or tools. On day 3 I was asked back to site to do general labor! I ended cutting my hand on an exacto knife and there was no first aid! Is this normal?

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so excited, I have a recruiter call scheduled with @Meta for Administrative Partner position. I've been in my current employer role for 19 years and I'm nervous as heck. I haven't had to do an interview in so long. Can someone please tell me what to expect with the recruiter call? I'm assuming it will be mostly about the role, my skills and background? Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?
