Anybody know how long a promotion tends to take at a company? My boss reccomend me for immediate promotion during my yearly review but he said at big companies like ours it takes awhile to get all the paperwork done and everything in place and approved. But like how long is long? A month? 2-6 months?

2nd year audit staff here. If I want to exit audit to go into a Sr. Financial Analyst role or industry accounting role, should I start applying right after my senior promotion? I really don’t want to do a year of audit as a senior.

I am currently working at Accenture as Application development senior analyst with the CTC of 8LPA (3.5+years exp). I love my job here , all my leads are supportive and I can say I am way too much comfortable here. When I reach 5 years, definitely I will get TL promo here.
Now I have another offer in TCS with 11.5 LPA with same role(Senior Analyst).
Should I consider joining TCS for the package , or should I wait in Accenture for 1 year to get team lead promotion?

I’m starting my first year as partner and really underestimated the cash flow challenges I’ve always heard about. With 3 kids, my health insurance is 5x, plus the tax burden, and despite a $100k bump, my cash flow is less. Aside from just being conservative, any advice? Some backstory: During my hiring process I was told by my now boss and VP they were also going to hire a senior engineer to help me along. I was much more ‘attracted’ to job 2 during my interviewing, the benefits are not great (typical public accounting) but regardless I’m not sure the benefits should matter that much. Would it be dumb to take job 2? I was doing a salary analysis with an assumed 6% annually and after 2 years I’ll be even with the additional 4200. But I’m sure with promotion I can renegotiate!
