Is anyone willing to share tips on avoiding burnout and setting boundaries with their executives? I have six people on my desk and am finding it difficult to stay motivated and continue giving everyone the same level of support.

So I think the most important thing for you to do is set up some 1:1with your supports. Let them know your firm work hours. Example I am online from 8-5 and I usually take lunch from 1-2. Make sure they are aware that after you log off you do not check your email so if they need something done by EOD you need it by x:xx. Also prioritize and let your supports know hey just got your request I am currently working on x,y,z can I get this to you by x time. Also use your PTO!!!! If you have it use it even if you have nothing to do take a self care day. Do not check email/teams. I think when we have so many supports on our roster they often forget we just don’t support them. Hope this helped.

Make sure you put in overtime if you work it. I am have colleagues who don’t put in for overtime.. the EA at Accenture are being stretched to the limit. There are a bunch that quit and the ones left beind are just expected to pick up the work. For some reason the company does not want to hire EAs.. the managers have no idea what it like to be an assistant.

When do you think associates are usually let go in small practice groups that are currently being overwhelmed with work? Is it when it starts to slows down or when they already have a candidate to replace you? Just trying to figure out how long I have after annoying a partner 😂.

Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.
