No raises at EY India. Pocket change for year end bonus, promotions were for namesake.
We had promotions but very few. Also barely any change in salary. So more like extra responsibilities with no incentives. Bonuses were embarrassing.
Rising Star
I can start about ZS. Raises and promotions were business as usual. Bonus was better this year as pharma had a lot of extra business with a constrained and overworked workforce as well as lesser expenses overall but would have just been really awesome for the partners.
Our promotions were phenomenal. We had a record number of promotions in Dec in the history of ZS. June was also high but still in range. Principal and Associate Principal elections were also very good. So overall 2020 was better than usual in terms of promotions
Raises were normal but as they should be. Raises are an ongoing increase in expense, so we should expect that they will remain in the normal range
Bonuses were also better than earlier years (on an avg). I know certain folks didn't do as well, but to be honest, the people who were complaining on FB were the ones who were on the lower side. Others I spoke to directly, were very happy. Specially, with the addition of the second bonus, it was cherry on the cake for a lot of folks
No hike for regular non promoted Deloitte folks and pocket money as a bonus. Promoted folks got a 5% raise and lil bit of bonuses.
The last year wasn’t so good for Deloitte. They overestimated the impact of the pandemic and cut raises for most of the folks (some non-promoted folks did get raises - very few folks though).
Good thing is that it looks like the exodus of folks shook the leadership - they are making up for it in the next year.
That's great to hear. Hopefully, they will promote more people in 2021.
Mixed for KPMG. We can say it's a lil dull year. Promotions, bonus and raise are not upto the mark
