I messed up my screenshare in a meeting with 2 colleagues and showed my personal email that had scheduling info for my onsite interviews with another company. I closed it but it was up long enough for them to see it. Now they both pretend like they saw nothing and I felt panic for some reason. I’m on the consulting side (FDD) and I’m curious if there are PE firms with good WLB. I’m happy with my pay, growth, and hours. PE interests me but I don’t understand why anyone would want to consistently work 65+ hours a week every week. What’s the appeal? Making double the pay? What’s the exit plan?

I am a woman who has been working as a tech PE investor for 8 months now, and have been feeling extremely discouraged by my experiences in this sector so far.
