Politics or human rights issues? Because they SHOULDNT be the same thing but have been made so by certain politicians. None of us care what our students or their parents politics are. We care about our students.
Especially when state after state is coming out with lower and lower math numbers. The focus needs to be on retention and skill.
Sure it was less controversial because the political pressures and demands of parents today for their lazy low achieving kids is ridiculous
I know seriously. Wasn't it just so much simpler when we just ignored marginalized people and only focused on the majority and monoculture? (sarcasm in case it wasn't abundantly clear)
I teach math. I model being a good human and citizen, I answer appropriate questions appropriately.
Past that, not my lane.
