Hi fishies. I have a ton of interviews coming up soon including a case interview at EY within their Innovation and Experience Design practice for Digital Strategy Manager. I am super comfortable with CX, design thinking, etc which are the types of projects I would be working on BUT I am absolutely terrible in case interviews. I was hoping it would be based on CX or design but my understanding is there is some revenue component idk. Anyone have any insight? I would greatly greatly appreciate it!

Should be given? @PwC2 I thought Uber's whole model was keeping everything in app without hassle and needing no cash? If there's no tipping feature in the app, expecting riders to tip via cash goes against their model. Also, I thought that was the major diff between Uber and Lyft.
Wouldn't consider this an awkward moment at all. There is absolutely zero expectation to tip an uber driver.
I've never seen tips built into fare unless it's an ubertaxi which don't exist in most of the cities I've been in besides NY
While zero expectation, that doesn't stop some drivers from alluding to or flat out asking you for a tip...or having a sign posted about how tips aren't included. I still don't tip, but it doesn't make the moment less awkward.
I've complained to Uber before because an UberBlack driver spent our entire trip trying to shame me into tipping him.
M1 that would be even more motivation for me not to tip through uber
@D2 wrong... a couple of months ago, uber said tips are not built into the fair and should be given
Tip is built into fare - default is 20%
SAVAGE
My last Uber driver told me that uber keeps the tips and does not pass them to the drivers. Maybe just another ploy to get me to tip him.
I wouldn't tip to begin with, and he'd get a shit rating for unprofessionalism
Unless this has changed recently, the tipping setting is included in the desktop version. It's always set to 20%
Tip is not built in. I've had a few $2.25 Uber rides, some that took 15 mins or longer because of pickup time, Driver gets $1.75. That's below min wage.
Agree, take Lyft if you want to tip electronically.
With ANY service industry, tipping in cash is always appreciated. When I travel for work and am using plastic, I tip 25% to help offset transaction fees and taxes.
