Product Management at a large bank vs Business Analytics/S&O for FAANG? Recently started in the former role, but have interview calls for the latter just come up in my mailbox. Similar comp when adjusted for the different job locations. Can anyone help me with the Pros and Cons please. I know the roles are different, and so are the industries, need to understand difference career paths and difference in corporate cultures. JPMorgan Chase Google LinkedIn Citi
I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?
I recently interviewed for L7 EM at Google and had 4 great interviews and one not so great system design. I submitted external referrals all of which gave great feedback. The recruiter said the next step is team match/interviews and then the HC. Anyone in a similar situation? What was the result? Google

MBA would be a great path for him if he has a coherent idea of what he wants to do after school
I am a chem major who was lost for a year before I found consulting :) happy to help refer, etc.
Any consulting company will value his background . In his CV/Interviews, the strengths he has learnt from being an instructor such as leadership, dedication, Team work , communication etc need to come through. Prepare good examples of what all he has done. These are all transferable skills . He also has an advantage over the other candidates due to his ‘diverse route/experience’
DM me if they’re interested in ACN ☺️
If I were him I would strongly consider an MBA.
Study for the GMAT, bolster the resume with volunteering, expanding his business, etc.
If he can get into a top 20ish school he’ll have an easier go of it.
Sounds like a great BA candidate!
I think he would be great as a consultant (great critical thinker, etc) but trying to figure out which types of roles would value his background. He’s considering applying for entry level analyst roles which makes sense, but is there any other strategy for targeting roles to be more successful?
DM me if interested in a referral to KPMG!
What’s his gpa? Sounds like he couldn’t get a job so he yolo’d for a year.
