I think if any company goes back to old travel ways they will lose bodies.
We all got very comfortable with the better work life balance of not being gone every week. Not to mention plenty of companies have now increased revenue by closing buildings and going completely remote.
Rising Star
Loving the remote life.
Now I can load the dishwasher or run some laundry while between calls. Get some exercise or jump in the shower at lunch. Have healthier skin and nails without the makeup and blow dryer. More water and better coffee from my kitchen. More savings and less wasted time and money. More family meals instead of just weekends or exhausted weeknight quick dinners.
Allows me to actually enjoy my evenings or weekends since everything gets done over the course of the day, and enjoy my life with the people and things that actually matter.

Depends on the kind of consulting involved.
For tech consulting, its likely that remote will become much more normal especially in areas that are fairly commoditized and require large teams/offshore support.
For traditional strategy consulting, its likely to come back sooner but far less likely in the next 6 months or so.
I think that’s a good point and will depend on the practice.

Lol just search the bowl for this exact topic. Unless your goal here was to farm engagement for likes/badges.
I suspect a bit of a hybrid depending on the scope of the project. Probably travel for a week once every 4-8 weeks on a need-be basis

The moment the client opens you are back on the plane bud. (jk)
Definitely awful client. What's worse is if you knock the engagement out of the park, they will find some way to extend.
not the same. will vary due to number of factors.
Nope
What would clients still pay pay for all those unnecessary expenses? It’s going to be dramatically less.
Why are your projects taking longer? So much time is wasted on travel projects.
It has already returned to that frequency for some
