I don't think there's anything else for you to consider, I'm just sorry you're in this situation. Reading stories like this really reinforces how broken healthcare is in this country. You shouldn't have to stress about work when you're trying to recover. I hope your manager responds with basic human decency and works to accommodate your schedule. Also hope that everything goes as well as possible for you. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thank you! I appreciate my manager more than anything, as he has been very understanding.
Sorry to hear this, it sounds like quite a challenge. I would hope your company could show some flexibility, as working from the hospital isn't something anyone should be doing. Not sure what else you could do at this point, but the main focus should be on restoring your health. That always has to come first.

Thank you - I'm trying my best!
Do you have short term disability?

Unfortunately, I do not and that is why I'm in this pickle.

Does your state happen to have paid Pfml? Maybe that’s and option if your in a state that has that. I know a lot of states continue to add on with that. You may want to research that.
Thank you - I will have to check, because I do not know. It's something to consider!
You MAY still qualify for some sort of job accommodation through ADA. I had a friend that that was able to do this due to her medical complication. when her fmla ran out her employer still had to accommodate her with a job accommodation under the ADA act which she was able to use in the instances that her fmla ran out. It may not cover paid time off but should offer job protection. Good luck and I’m wishing you a speedy recovery!
Alot of people don’t know! You’d be surprised. Managers included, so i would say give your manager the benefit of the doubt.
