Don’t weigh yourself… why burden yourself with a number you know you will dislike and how it will mentally affect you? Take a look back at the vacation you got to enjoy appreciate the off time from work and food intake you were able to experience without feeling guilty! Now it’s back to the real world. Just continue where you left off. It’s extremely healthy and important to have a break. It would help if you looked at it as such. Scales, for the most part, are unreliable because there are so many factors to “weight,” and it’s the number one reason people have a hard time losing weight when scale numbers get to our heads.

Don’t do it now its a trap its mostly water weight and seeing that number will put you down. Go back to your regular eating and weight yourself a week later. That is my nutritionist advice

I found out today that my employer doesn’t offer any paid parental leave (maternity or paternity). This isn’t a major issue now, but my wife and I are planning on trying in a year or so from now. How many other employers don’t offer any paid leave at all? Coming from public accounting this seemed outrageous to me, but curious to see what other companies are like.

Rejected by 2 exit ops after on-sites where 2 of 3 recruiters sent a personal message/email saying something like "you seem great/qualified but not the right fit". One said "the HM said you seem really bright and would hire asap if we were looking for a generalist". Another said "this isn't about weakness or lack of experience, just questions on fit". Do recruiters say this to a lot of people or is this genuine? Trying to gauge whether my interview performance is at least solid.
