The FDA’s move to phase out synthetic dyes is a huge win for our kids. We’ve known for years about the potential links to hyperactivity and other issues. It feels good to see the government finally catching up with what many other countries already regulate. Thoughts, how do you all feel about this bold step forward?

Lots of people support banning these. But… that’s not what’s happened. This is all PR.

Read below the surface before you give them credit for something they didn’t do.

They announced they are going to ban them by 2026 - but like there is no legal force or mechanism behind that yet (just a press release). If they ban these without FDA evidence via the usual process, the companies will sue.

What they did do is bring companies together to agree on “not using harmful chemicals in our food” - this is what RFK is claiming is the win where they agreed. And guess what those companies said after that? They were like “none of the ingredients we currently use ARE harmful; they are all legal and scientifically safe and approved by the FDA.”

It’s a smokescreen. He got them to agree to use healthy ingredients which they say they already do…

This is perhaps one of the lowest IQ admins in our nation's history. Right down there with Buchanan and Johnson. Never before have I seen so much long term damage done in such a short amount of time. Ten years from now every person that was in this cult of personality will pretend as if they never had anything to do with it and they will dispose of all of their merchandise in massive trash heaps.

That said, banning synthetic food dyes appears to be the ONLY scientifically backed thing they have done this far.

So kudos. How about we keep listening to the experts instead of insisting that vaccines cause autism. 👏

How about focusing on lead poisoning and getting it out of our drinking water and other items that put kids in harms way for detrimental long them developmental issues that are far more serious rather than gutting the CDC and HHS that research and look into those matters
