Anyone with insight on Tyson Mendes?
Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

You could say you're excited to shift your current knowledge and experience into a new industry and really strengthen (or expand) your skill set. That you're interested in new challenges and x company feels like a place you can grow professionally.
Perfect!
Last week Erica Rivera, a job coach, who posts here had a great video on how to answer that very question. You might want to look her up.
Thanks!
My answer would have been blunt. Cuz I need money. Period.
I have been asked this question many times in interviews and each time I have to hold my tongue because this is exactly what I want to reply! What's up with companies expecting us to act like they are the greatest thing on earth. I just want a paycheck and I don't care which company signs it.
Yeah I've been there before, it's super tricky when you don’t have direct experience. I try to research the company a bit and focus on what draws me in, the mission, team vibe, or even something I read about their work culture. Then I connect it back to my skills and how I can add value. This is always a question I prepare for honestly

I usually tie it back to culture somehow either by going on their website and finding core values, or saying I have spoken with previous employees that highlighted what a great experience it was (on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, whatever), or a combo of both. For my current employer I also saw on their website that they are big on professional development opportunities for employees so I also said how that was important to me as someone who likes to continually grow in my role to offer the best support I can.
Research the company talk about what you like about it and how you are excited to be a part of that
I know what I am about to say may sound harsh but I promise it isn't being said that way. If you do research into the company that question should be easy to answer. Even if you've never worked for that type of business, surely there was something that made you want to apply for the company in the first place.
