Maybe we all have to learn how to live with temptation not ask the government to “protect” us from it? (I have teenager sons, so I’m sitting in the thick of this stuff 😵💫😱)

Gambling apps are now the #1, fastest growing addiction on US colleges with 1 in 5 students hooked. Not drugs. Not alcohol. Gambling. Kids are graduating financially ruined before their lives even start. As if the insane cost of college isn’t bad enough.

I bet $10/game and I bet 2-3 football games in a weekend. I do it for the same reasons someone goes to a casino. Some people gamble within their means.
we are hired to drive sales for our clients…that client happens to be a gambling company. If you don’t wanna get paid to create work that sells stuff don’t work in advertising.
You mean to tell me the alcoholic DJ lost his house because of weed?
Important insight i picked up during COVID: If your agency is pitching gambling work, you likely have revenue problems.

It doesn’t matter about quality. It’s a field that rife with opportunity, unlike the tobacco industry. Gambling isn’t going anywhere, despite how gross it is.

I mean personally I think the old folks homes that bus the elderly to the casinos for free are a lot more nefarious than betting ads.
The fine print says its betting credits though, that’s standard for all the gambling apps. Give you some free credits to start but you can’t cash em out. It’s like free crack
No worse than the others out there.
I meant the other gambling apps. Only thing just as bad or worse is tobacco.
